How it works

Far infrared is radiated heat, it’s the same as the feeling of warmth from the sun on your face and the heat from a coal fire. It is even the same form of heat emitted by your own body.

It is the most basic form of heating known to man but in the last 60 years we have forgotten about radiant heating: not because a better technology replaced it, but because fossil fuels that powered central heating made it so cheap to heat air.

Today, new technology is allowing us to use radiant heating once more yet in a stylish, comfortable and highly controllable way.

Radiant Heating is the new way to heat your home, office or outdoor space. Our Radiant Heating products operate at a fraction of the cost of more traditional methods of electric heating and are 100% energy efficient.

Not to be confused with the older type of infra red heaters which glow orange, the key difference lies in the way far infrared heaters operate. They do not heat the air but heat the fabric of the building including objects in the room. Heat is then radiated back from the building and objects creating a comfortable and consistent room temperature. The fabric of your building can also retain its heat for longer, so your house will feel warm and cosy. This RADIANT HEATING process requires less energy so you should see a reduction in your electricity bill almost immediately.

Traditionally, the size or wattage of a heating unit would be calculated based on the size of the room, but with infrared only the surface area is factored in - this means you can get the same coverage with a smaller wattage heater. If you use a lesser wattage heater you will use less energy. In this way, far infrared technology is more efficient and not as susceptible to heat loss as traditional heating methods.
